Welcome to the Barrowden village website Barrowden is located adjacent to the River Welland in Rutland just off the A47 between Uppingham and Peterborough. It is a medium sized village with a population of about 420. There is a church, a village hall, a doctor’s surgery, a shop, a mobile library, a recreational field with cricket club and a pub, The Exeter Arms. Barrowden can trace its history back to the eleventh century. This will be my last month of sorting the website—new website and webmaster coming soon! |
